We built Villa Vani — our own boutique hotel in Mysore — before we called ourselves designers. Running it taught us what drawings alone never could: how spaces carry energy.
Out of that, our design & build practice emerged. That knowledge now shapes everything we do: residential homes, heritage restorations, and boutique hospitality projects across south India.
We take on a small number of projects each year. Some are new. Some have been waiting a long time for the right person to come along.

Villa Vani, Mysore
A 1970s villa in a quiet Mysore neighbourhood, transformed into a stunning four-bedroom boutique hotel. The project began with a simple intention: to retain the soul of the original home while adapting it for modern hospitality. Villa Vani is where we developed the design language we now bring to every project. Jeeva House, Mysore
A house five minutes from Villa Vani, including two self-contained apartments and a rooftop yoga terrace. Jeeva House was a rescue mission before it was a design project. The builders had lost the thread of the original vision entirely, and we were brought in to find it again. What the house always wanted to be was simple: a contemporary space filled with light, the kind that makes your heart lift as you enter. We gave it that.
Private Residence, Los Angeles
A two bedroom cottage in Venice LA, designed around the idea of an "Afro surf shack". We worked outwards from there, letting the brief find its shape through treasured objects. Our interiors are characterised by gallery walls that tell the story of a life lived with curiosity, and books treated as objects as much as reading matter. The result is spaces that feel deeply personal, because they are.

Design & Build
From brief to handover. We manage the entire process — design, contractor selection, material sourcing, and site supervision. Suited to clients who want one trusted point of contact.
Boutique Hospitality Projects
We work with hotel owners at every stage, from concept and positioning, spatial planning, design and build, brand identity, and pre-opening setup. We've built and operated our own boutique property, which means we design with the guest experience already in mind.
Property Management
Once the doors are open, we can run the property for you. We manage boutique hotels, homestays, and private residences — handling reservations, guest experience, housekeeping, maintenance, and supplier relationships.

Built from the inside out
We came to design through hospitality, not the other way around. Villa Vani was our first project, and building it taught us things no studio education could. What makes a guest feel welcome the moment they arrive. Where the light needs to be. Why the gap between a beautiful room and a liveable one is almost always in the details.
We work in south India, with a particular knowledge of Mysore and surrounding areas. We have trusted relationships with craftspeople, contractors, and suppliers, built over years of actual projects, not referral lists.
